Topic 1/2: Saving EVs from the wrecker yard with a sprinkle of open source

Speaker: Richard O’Donoghue

A failing battery management system or a degraded battery pack is often enough to send a perfectly good car to the wrecker yard. This talk covers the problem, an open source solution for extending the life of the Nissan Leaf after battery failure, and what to do with old battery packs: from DIY solar storage, to responsible recycling.

Topic 2/2: Omarchy

Speaker: Tim-Hinnerk Heuer

My journey with Omarchy: a command-line, AI-first, malleable operating system that’s easier and faster to set up than Windows and macOS, and gives you more control and freedom at the same time. It takes just six minutes to set up, and its creator reports there’s $10m invested in it, which includes making it beautiful and marketing it as well.
